What MOFA attestation is

MOFA attestation is usually the final stage of attestation. For documents issued abroad it comes after attestation in the issuing country and by the Qatar embassy there. For documents issued in Qatar, MOFA attests them for use with authorities and, when needed, before they go to a foreign embassy in Doha.

Who needs it

Residents applying for jobs, licences, equivalency or family residence, companies registering in Qatar or using foreign company documents, and anyone using a Qatari document abroad.

What is MOFA attestation?

MOFA attestation is the attestation added by Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is usually the final stage that makes a document usable with Qatari authorities, employers and institutions.

Can you handle MOFA attestation for me?

How long does MOFA attestation take?

MOFA says attestation usually takes 3 to 4 working days, with the first review within one working day of submission.

Which documents can be attested electronically?

Electronic attestation currently covers good conduct certificates and academic certificates from government schools. Electronic attestations cannot be cancelled or refunded, so we check every detail before submitting.

Do I need to visit MOFA or deal with Qatar Post myself?

No. We manage the submission, payment, collection and return of your documents, and update you at every stage.

Will I get updates on my attestation?

What if my document is missing a stamp?
